Winged Eye Liner Tutorial

Master the perfect winged eye liner with our tutorial, creating the beautifully classic look of the coveted cat eye. Follow our winged eye liner tips below for a fool-proof and quick way to draw the line.

MAP IT OUT

Create the look with a subtle eye shadow to guide the placement of your winged eye liner. The E68 Line Perfector™ brush is great for creating a soft map. Follow the angle of the lower lash line, pulling up towards the outer end of the eye brow. Do both eyes, perfect and match them in this step.

DRAW THE LINE

Using your favorite eye liner, line from inner to outer corner along the lashes. Gel Liner and Sigma’s E06 Winged Liner™ brush are great for beginners and loved by professionals.

WING IT

Use your guide line from step 1 to draw the wing starting from the tip, pulling in towards the lash line. Connect the wing to your existing eye liner.

FILL IN

Complete your look by filling in the cat eye and smoothing the line.
