Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's okay, the silicones suck The brushes are awesome for serums, moisturizers, and eye creams. The silicone spatulas large and small suck. I used the mud mask one this evening and it was awful. I much prefer using a regular brush for my mud masks. They should not have used the silicones. This is an okay skin care brush set but not at all worth $55.00

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FINALLY - PERFECTION! For those of us who may not have sensitive skin on our faces but deal with chronic skin issues like dyshydrotic eczema, this set is a dream come true. I take great care in choosing my skincare products and enjoy my long routine - the problem is, the same products that do wonders on my face trigger an outburst of thousands of tiny blisters in between my fingers and on my palms if they come in contact with my hands (looking at you, Tretinoin and niacinimide!) I have trued applying my products with all types of gloves and brushes but none have been effective as these. In fact, my only complaint is that there aren’t more in the pack. I would GLADLY pay more money for as many different brushes as Sigma can create to effectively apply toners, essences, silicone-based products, etc. I don’t know if I was the type of customers they had in mine, but I tell everyone in my support groups online and IRL who suffers with any type of dermatitis that only affects their hands about these brushes. For us, they are the difference in being in tremendous pain for days or being able to apply products without worrying if there will be a trigger. THANK YOU, SIGMA!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a must have, but very nice to have I bought these brushes recently during another Sigma order; I was a little unsure about them initially but I actually love them. They are perfect for my morning and evening skincare routines, whether I am doing a quicker lazier one or a longer routine. I find the large spatula really handy for applying retinoids/acids actually, without them getting on my hands (my fingers/palms don’t need either and I like knowing I am not wasting product on my hands). I just put some on the spatula and “paint” to let it absorb. Also definitely feels luxurious to use these brushes, even on a $5-6 serum from The Ordinary. I really enjoy the clear plastic handles to differ them from my other brushes (wood & metal) and they are easy to clean in my opinion. I definitely don’t think they are a must-have but if you are into skin care, tired of wasting product on your hands, want a little luxury, and have the means to treat yourself, they are well worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can’t go back to life before these. These brushes are amazing. I love them and they have made a huge difference in my skincare routine. I’m a skincare snob so I’m hard to please, but these brushes do just that. Invest in them. You’ll love them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A really good, but not quite perfect set I was SO excited to try this set because I have several skin care products I use, including 3 Rx creams from my dermatologist for melasma and dermatitis, so I'm constantly washing my hands in between products. So far, I've found this set to be really nice and very useful. I'm kind of impatient with so many things that I have to use, so I was afraid I'd get frustrated using these instead of my hands, but they're surprisingly good. I've found that it really doesn't take that much more time for the products to absorb with these instead of just my fingers and with proper care, they're more hygienic. Here's a breakdown of each item: S01 Clay/Mud spatula: Pretty good, but I found that it wasn't as easy to spread the mask around as I expected. As I was spreading it, the spatula was picking it back up in some spots and I had to go back over them to reapply it, but overall it's still really good and useful. S10 Serum brush: This is my least favorite of the bunch because it does a really nice job of evenly spreading serum, but the bristles are duo fiber, and the longer bristles get kind of scratchy and stick together for some reason as they get wet when you're using it. Still does a nice job, though. S05 Moisturizer brush: This works really well at spreading moisturizing cream or lotion all over your face. The brush is really soft and the angle of the bristles help reach hard to get spots. This really feels nice gliding over your face. S15 Gel Mask brush: This is a really good brush for spreading thinner masks. It applies them really evenly and is nice and soft. S20 Eye Cream brush: I didn't think I'd like this one that much, but it's turned out to be my favorite of the set. It's nice and soft and the bristles come to a slight center point that really help you to get into the tiniest of spaces that normally don't get moisturized. This one feels awesome, too. S02 Spatula: I'll be honest - I really haven't used this one that much except to apply one of my Rx creams on tiny spots of my face, but it worked well and I think it will be great if I ever do mix any products together, which is how they describe this to be used. It's a great tool for getting products out of the container in a sanitary way so you don't have to dig your fingers in. I really understand why some people are saying they're hesitant to buy this set because you need to wash them every time you use them (and you DEFINITELY do because this is your face!), but I've found after using them several times that it's really not an issue. I just use a little squirt of gentle hand soap or face wash that I keep by the sink and it literally takes a few seconds to clean these and they're dry by the next time I go to use them (which is twice a day). These are definitely a luxury type of item. You don't NEED them, but they're surprisingly useful when you get them, and if you take care of them properly, they make skincare more sanitary and fun. I'd definitely recommend this set. I give it 4 and 1/2 stars just because of the couple of little annoyances.

Does the brush set comes with a case?

Asked by: Rona
This brush set does not include a case. For brush storage, I recommend our Brush Cup as it would fit these beautifully and is great for travel!

Hey! :) I was wondering how often you have to clean the skincare brushes and which way is the best way to clean them? -Zahrah

Asked by: Zahrah
My preferred method is cleaning with soap and water, letting them dry, then put them in the sterilizer for 15 minutes. One could also clean them with soap and water, then use alcohol 70% minimum, then let them dry. In a total rush, one could use something like Cinema Secrets, but only in a pinch. :)
