Need to find your face shape? Before you get started with makeup, follow our quick guide to finding your face shape to decide which look fits you best!

Oval Shape

STEP 1

Using a tapered brush - like the Sigma F25 Tapered Face Brush - apply your favorite bronzer beginning at the temples, working your way down to the center of the face.

STEP 2

Using the same brush, apply a light touch of blush to the temples down to the apples of the cheeks for an airbrushed finish.

STEP 3

To highlight, use a fan brush and apply to the high points of the face: temples, brow bone, bridge of the nose, Cupid’s bow, and chin. The F42 Strobing Fan™ Brush is perfect.

Square Shape

STEP 1

First, apply contour on the temples and jaw area. When applying contour to the jawline, use a fluffy brush like the F40 Large Angled Contour Brush and brush upward for a natural look.

STEP 2

With the same brush, apply blush to the cheeks and bronzer in the hollows of the cheeks.

STEP 3

Finish by applying highlighter in a “C” shape around the high points of the cheeks and temples with the F37 Spotlight Duster™ Brush.

Round Shape

STEP 1

Bronze or contour the entire outer perimeter of the face and under the cheekbones using the F23 Soft Angled Contour™ Brush.

STEP 2

Using the F15 Duo Fiber Powder/Blush Brush, apply blush one to two fingers away from the nose, sweep it across the top of the apples of the cheeks toward the ear, and blend down to prevent it from appearing striped. This type of application will help to break up the roundness

STEP 3

With the F03 High Cheekbone Highlighter™ Brush, highlight the bridge of the nose, center of the forehead, high points of the cheeks, underneath the brow bone, Cupid’s bow, and on the chin.

Oblong/Rectangular Shape

STEP 1

Bronzer should be applied around the hairline at the top of the forehead, along the bottom of the cheekbones blended up toward the temple, under the chin blended up and back along the jawline, and across the bridge of the nose with the F23 Soft Angled Contour™ Brush.

STEP 2

Blush should be applied on the apple of the cheeks, blending back and out to add width. We recommend using the F10 Powder/Blush Brush.

STEP 3

Using the F35 Tapered Highlighter Brush, highlight the tops of the cheekbones, blending back toward the temples, on the brow bone, the tip of the nose, and Cupid’s bow.

Long Shape

STEP 1

Bronzer should be applied around the hairline at the top of the forehead, along the bottom of the cheekbones blended up toward the temple, under the chin blended up and back along the jawline, and across the bridge of the nose with the F53 Air Contour/Blush™ Brush.

STEP 2

Using the same brush, apply blush on the apple of the cheeks, blending back and out to add width.

STEP 3

Using the F03 High Cheekbone Highlighter™ Brush, highlight the tops of the cheekbones, blending back toward the temples, on the brow bone, the tip of the nose, and Cupid’s bow. Avoid highlighting the forehead and chin, which will add height.

Diamond Shape

STEP 1

Contour the center of the forehead and chin with a shade just slightly darker than your natural skin tone with F06 Powder Sweep™ Brush.

STEP 2

Add blush to your cheekbones or the apples of your cheeks in sweeping circular motions with the F10 Powder/Blush Brush.

STEP 2

With the F15 Duo Fiber Powder/Blush Brush, apply blush one to two fingers away from the nose. Sweep across the top of the apples of the cheeks toward the ear, and blend down to prevent it from appearing striped. This type of application will play up the high cheekbones.

STEP 3

Highlight on the bridge of the nose, high points of the cheeks, underneath the brow bone, onto the jawline, Cupid’s bow, and on the chin. Our 3DHD® Precision Brush is perfect for these small detailed areas.

Triangle Shape

STEP 1

Contour the jawline and under the cheekbones with a shade slightly darker than your natural skin tone. The F77 Chisel and Trim Contour™ Brush works great for placement and to blend, use small downward strokes.

STEP 2

With the F40 Large Angled Contour Brush, add blush under the cheekbones to carve the round shape out.

STEP 3

Highlight only the temples. Focus on this shape is already at the center-most narrow part of the face, we want to broaden the forehead. The fluffiness and small shape of the F03 High Cheekbone Highlighter™ Brush makes this step easy.

Inverted Triangle Shape

STEP 1

Contour the center of your forehead and your chin with a shade slightly darker than your natural skin tone. The F05 Small Contour Brush works great for circular buffing.

STEP 2

Using the same brush, add blush to your cheekbones or the apples of your cheeks.

STEP 3

Highlight the temples and jawline, this will create mirrored symmetry and will bring focus away from the center of the face. Choose the F03 High Cheekbone Highlighter™ Brush for the small fluffy head which makes product placement easy.
